The LUMIKER Showroom brought together leading benchmark companies in electricity sector to discuss monitoring assets and installations.

On 27 September, LUMIKER held a technical workshop on monitoring electrical assets based on optic sensors. Over 20 representatives from 11 companies related to the electricity sector, including RED ELÉCTRICA ESPAÑOLA, ARTECHE, GENERAL CABLE, GENERAL ELECTRIC, IBERDROLA DISTRIBUCIÓN, ORMAZABAL, INGETEAM, etc, attended the Showroom held at the LUMIKER premises at  BIC Bizkaia at the Bizkaia Technology Park.
The workshop was an opportunity to showcase the advanced solutions that LUMIKER offers in its catalogue of products for the electricity sector. These solutions are aimed at monitoring spot temperature in cables, screen currents, fault detecting in mixed lines and high precision current monitoring.
They are all innovative applications for the electricity sector, the result of integrating four knowledge areas - optics, new materials, hardware and software – and which has led to an obvious differentiation on the market. They mean a groundbreaking advance in the monitoring of electrical assets and, therefore, in optimising their management.
It should be noted that Lumiker has the endorsement of the European Commission as it has been selected among the best European SMEs in the “SME Instrument” call in the Horizon 2020 strategies, in recognition of that advances that it has made in developing highly technological products and with a resolute focus on solving the problems that the market demands.
